Happy Easter

With Easter fast approaching it’s great to find some interesting Easter stories to entertain the kids.

The Smallest Bilby and the Easter Games by Nette Hilton and Bruce Whatley is a lovely story recommended to me by a friend.  In this story, the rabbits decide to stop delivering the eggs and all the bush animals want to be the new Easter Bunny.  In order to choose the best animal for the job, one of the rabbits decides to play some Easter games.

I also came across The Smallest Bilby and the Easter Tale by Nette Hilton and Bruce Whatley.  This story tells the tale of Billy and his band of little bilbies.  It’s their first time delivering the eggs.  What a wonderful time they have hiding the eggs here, there and everywhere.  But, when one of the bilbies gets into trouble, what will Billy do?

What’s your child’s favourite Easter story?

Have a safe and happy Easter break.

  1. Happy Easter!
I’ve just realised that we don’t own any Easter picture books in our vast collection – will check out the ones you listed, thanks 🙂 I love Bruce Whatley’s ‘That Magnetic Dog’. Hope you have some time to write over the Easter break, Rach x

  2. Hi Genelle,
We haven’t got any Easter books either! A friend of mine from Mt Isa said that her children were getting “The Smallest Bilby and the Midnight Star” this Easter. I haven’t read “The Magnetic Dog” but I’ve read “Looking for Crabs” by Bruce Whatley and it was really good. Hope you’ve had a lovely holiday. x
