Stringybark Writing Competitions

I just received the Stringybark Newsletter in my email box and it is full of terrific writing competitions that I wanted to share.  Some are free and some cost $9.95 to enter.

I recently entered the FREE October Microfiction writing competition where you had to write a 100 word story using the words Senator, dog and wedding. I was very excited to see my story “Doggone” along with 8 others on the Stringybark website. You can read them  here.

FREE: November Microfiction Competition

All you need to do is to write a 100 word microfiction story which contains the phrase, “Deliberately barren.”

The winner will receive a copy of the anthology, Between Heaven and Hell. Entries are published on their website. There is no entry fee. Include the story in the body of the email and not as an attachment. Closing date: midnight 25 November 2012.
