I Wish for You

I recently took a break from my usual scrapbooking (12″ x 12″ photo layouts to put in albums for myself and my two daughters) and made two “off the page” albums to enter in the Redcliffe Show and the EKKA.

The first album I bought as a kit ages ago and it consisted of four clear plastic pages with plastic embellishments.  I covered each page with my favourite Stampin’-Up papers in green, pink, maroon, white and black.

Then I added photos and embellishments -flowers, butterflies, ribbons, bling and inspirational words.  I also did some inking and stamping too.  I entered this one in the Redcliffe Show.

The second album was the WISH chipboard album.  I also covered it using papers in the same theme – pink, maroon, green and white.  I used up the last of my Stampin-Up paper and also purchased some beautiful butterfly and dot paper from my local scrapbooking shop.

For the WISH album I searched for quotes about all the things that I wish for my daughters such as laughter, love, adventure and friendship.  Here’s one of my favourite quotes that I used:  It is the WISE mother who gives her child roots and wings – Chinese Proverb.
Also… A girl should be two things: Classy and Fabulous – Coco Chanel.

Then came the fun but very time consuming part of working out where all the quotes, photos and embellishments would go and then sticking it all down.  On this album I  used flowers, butterflies, paper ribbon, fancy border punches and bling.

I also added secret flaps, hidden quotes and an envelope containing more photos.

After many many hours I was very happy with the end result and entered it in the EKKA.

  1. I have so many items that need to be arranged into a nice scrapbook. I lack inspiration and patience, but yours are very pretty.
